CASUAL: Strength & Conditioning coach

Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and inspiring Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our fitness team. You will meet with clients to discuss their fitness goals and develop an exercise plan to help them meet those needs. All of our Personal Trainers must have a positive and encouraging attitude to motivate clients to reach their fitness goals. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Designing appropriate exercise programs for clientele in accordance to their individual fitness goals, fitness history, and limitations if present.

  • To understand and properly utilize the WF booking system.

  • Being actively involved in communications with the operations manager.

  • To sanitize and store equipment after training a client.

  • To advise the clients regarding the rules and policies, precautionary and safety measures that need to be taken, demonstrate how to use the fitness equipment and machinery, ensure that first aid and any medical help is available instantly in case of any injury.

Essential Skills

The Strength & Conditioning coach must bring a drive and passion for fitness and health, as well as excellent and effective communication skills to be able to guide, counsel, and attract and retain clients. S/he should be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills. S/he should be able to think of creative ideas to motivate clients to achieve results, as well as promote sustainable fitness levels for long term development and health. This profile demands high mobility, and the person should be comfortable standing, walking, bending, and sitting for long hours. S/he should have excellent supervisory skills and should be able to instruct in a clear and effective manner.

Educational Requirements

The position requires a bachelor's degree in physical education, health fitness, exercise physiology, or any other relevant field. A CPR, AED, or first aid certification is required. Additional certifications would also prove to be a plus. A demonstrated track record of successful program development and fitness program innovation would be an advantage.

Work Hours

The coach will start with a guaranteed 2 classes (2 hours + programming time): Tuesdays at 7:00AM Stretch & Mobility and Thursdays 7:00AM Strength & Conditioning. Personal training work load is dependant on demand.

Compensation Details

Coaches receive an hourly wage between $30 - $36 / hour.
